Hello from Lisbon!
So....2024 began with a bursting whirlwind of activity and excitement. The beginning of the year marked a fresh start, and I embraced it wholeheartedly. I had a busy schedule, with a heartwarming journey back to my roots in Minnesota and reconnecting with family and friends.
Another chapter unfolded as I tackled the task of clearing out a storage unit in California that held remnants of the past. Sorting through the layers of nostalgia, I unearthed treasures, souvenirs, and forgotten mementos that carried with them the echoes of different seasons in my life. The process was cathartic, shedding not only physical possessions but also freeing up mental space for the new experiences that lie ahead.
With the storage unit emptied and the past neatly packed away, I return to Lisbon with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that await me in the unfolding chapters of the new year.
The Sights of Lisbon
Lisbon is a city that comes alive with music at every turn. Wandering down the promenade, I was serenaded by a talented violinist who turned the street into an impromptu concert hall.
Street performers add to the enchantment, captivating passersby with creative displays.
Down by the Tagus River, life takes on a different rhythm. Watching boats come and go makes for a peaceful interlude, adding to the city's unique charm. In Lisbon, every street is a stage, and each moment is a celebration of life, music, and the undeniable spirit that makes this city truly special.
Lost in Lisbon: Film Challenge
Welcome to the captivating trailer of "Lost in Lisbon," a film I'm submitting to an exciting film contest! In this unique competition, participants are given a curated list of props, and we must incorporate at least three into our films. My chosen items are a notebook, pencil, and a banana, adding an intriguing element to the storyline. Additionally, the contest requires the inclusion of specific key phrases, turning the filmmaking process into a thrilling creative challenge. Next month I'll post the entire cinematic journey where creativity meets constraint, shaping a narrative that unfolds amidst the enchanting backdrop of Lisbon!
TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)
Embarking on 2024, I've embraced a new role as a TEFL teacher, merging my acting and improvisational skills to make English learning dynamic and enjoyable. Through my travels, I've sensed the eagerness among people, especially the youth in Europe, to enhance their English for better opportunities. My goal is to create a fun and confidence-building learning experience, using creativity to not only teach language but also empower individuals to express themselves effectively. This year is about helping people in Europe speak better English and unlock doors to brighter futures.

I love your blog! Especially the part about clearing "stuff" out of your life to create space for new experiences. Even if the "thing" holds a memory. Most of us humans cling too much to the material. Bravo for letting go! XOX
